Tattoo Session #2

Hi guys how are you?
So on 12/05/13 on a Thursday, I went to my #2 session of my back tattoo cover-up.
This session focuses more on some of the branches and the body of the peacock so you can finally see the peacock and a beautiful idea of what it will look like! So far so good, it is peeling a lot and healing and coming along very nicely.
Although shading should not hurt as much, the spine obvious hurt, the sides and my lower back.
Oh boy, driving was the worst and washing it after was even worse..
Anyhow, I am very grateful that you can see the new tattoo now as well as the old tattoo being covered up, so my self-esteem is getting there :)
Below are some of the pictures, I hope you guys enjoy!

Tattoo Session #1

Here is my video of my first session of my tattoo cover up.
My original tattoo is a waterfall with maple leaves, but the lines are really jagged and the maple leaves look like stars. The tattoo artist I had it outlined from was not a legitimate tattoo artist in a shop. He did drugs. I got referred to him by one of my exes because I saw what a great work he did, so why not. But no. It’s been 4 years since that tattoo mess up and I haven’t gotten the courage to fix my tattoo.
I finally had the chance to fix my tattoo and I let my new tattoo artist, in a legitimate shop with a license, do whatever he thought would fit best with my cover up. So he did a peacock with a lotus flower on the bottom. A river flowing. & a cherry blossom tree around it to cover the crooked sparrows on my shoulder blades.
This is only the first session, 5 hours of sharpie work and 2 hours of outline out of approximately 60 hours.
Enjoy :)
Patricia Chiem 11/14/13

Here is a picture of the finished outline of my first session, mainly it was all sharpie work but hopefully you can make out what it is suppose to look like!

Here is a partial look of what it is suppose to look like with some of the outline work! I love the bright bold colors of the feathers!!! I love the work!!
It doesn’t look like much yet because this is my cover-up first session. Majority of the whole session today will be the outline, pretty much just the solid lines of a coloring book. It’ll look better the next session when certain areas are shaded in. The last picture gives you an drawn out sharpie version where everything is suppose to be and what it is suppose to look like. This cover-up tattoo is suppose to be a 60 hour tattoo so 2 hours down about 58 more hours to go!

& here is what it will look like, well a main general idea of what the finished 60 hour coverup tattoo will look like! AMAZING right?! I'm so excited but it will be so painful! I'm very upset that the tattoo will cost so much, guess it's my lesson for getting a tattoo from a junkie.. but hey I do what I want! It will look great in the end!
I was so embarrassed and ashamed of my old tattoo. It has been years and I have never gotten it fixed so now is the time!

All you will EVER need to know about me

All you will EVER need to know about me

Myth #1 – Introverts don’t like to talk.
This is not true. Introverts just don’t talk unless they have something to say. They hate small talk. Get an introvert talking about something they are interested in, and they won’t shut up for days.

Myth #2 – Introverts are shy.
Shyness has nothing to do with being an Introvert. Introverts are not necessarily afraid of people. What they need is a reason to interact. They don’t interact for the sake of interacting. If you want to talk to an Introvert, just start talking. Don’t worry about being polite.

Myth #3 – Introverts are rude.
Introverts often don’t see a reason for beating around the bush with social pleasantries. They want everyone to just be real and honest. Unfortunately, this is not acceptable in most settings, so Introverts can feel a lot of pressure to fit in, which they find exhausting.

Myth #4 – Introverts don’t like people.
On the contrary, Introverts intensely value the few friends they have. They can count their close friends on one hand. If you are lucky enough for an introvert to consider you a friend, you probably have a loyal ally for life. Once you have earned their respect as being a person of substance, you’re in.

Myth #5 – Introverts don’t like to go out in public.
Nonsense. Introverts just don’t like to go out in public FOR AS LONG. They also like to avoid the complications that are involved in public activities. They take in data and experiences very quickly, and as a result, don’t need to be there for long to “get it.” They’re ready to go home, recharge, and process it all. In fact, recharging is absolutely crucial for Introverts.

Myth #6 – Introverts always want to be alone.
Introverts are perfectly comfortable with their own thoughts. They think a lot. They daydream. They like to have problems to work on, puzzles to solve. But they can also get incredibly lonely if they don’t have anyone to share their discoveries with. They crave an authentic and sincere connection with ONE PERSON at a time.

Myth #7 – Introverts are weird.
Introverts are often individualists. They don’t follow the crowd. They’d prefer to be valued for their novel ways of living. They think for themselves and because of that, they often challenge the norm. They don’t make most decisions based on what is popular or trendy.

Myth #8 – Introverts are aloof nerds.
Introverts are people who primarily look inward, paying close attention to their thoughts and emotions. It’s not that they are incapable of paying attention to what is going on around them, it’s just that their inner world is much more stimulating and rewarding to them.

Myth #9 – Introverts don’t know how to relax and have fun.
Introverts typically relax at home or in nature, not in busy public places. Introverts are not thrill seekers and adrenaline junkies. If there is too much talking and noise going on, they shut down. Their brains are too sensitive to the neurotransmitter called Dopamine. Introverts and Extroverts have different dominant neuro-pathways. Just look it up.

Myth #10 – Introverts can fix themselves and become Extroverts.
A world without Introverts would be a world with few scientists, musicians, artists, poets, filmmakers, doctors, mathematicians, writers, and philosophers. That being said, there are still plenty of techniques an Extrovert can learn in order to interact with Introverts. (Yes, I reversed these two terms on purpose to show you how biased our society is.) Introverts cannot “fix themselves” and deserve respect for their natural temperament and contributions to the human race. In fact, one study (Silverman, 1986) showed that the percentage of Introverts increases with IQ

_________________________________________________________
If I ever make an excuse not to go out, or do something, please don’t ask why.  I don’t think people realize how much energy it actually takes me to hang out with a large group of people.  I have to pep talk myself way to far in advance to make sure I’m able to form coherent sentences and not embarrass myself and everyone around me..
_________________________________________________________
Extroverts may give introverts a lot of crap for “not being social enough” or “always staying home,” but god dammit you guys don’t get enough credit from us extroverts. You’re mentally/emotionally self-sufficient. We actually need social interaction. I can’t go 24 hours without someone’s company before I actually have an anxiety attack. I will go out of my way to sleep on my best friend’s couch when I have a perfectly good bed at home. All you need is a book or music or the internet and you’re fine.

Christmas Tree

Hello guys how are you today!? Happy Monday!
So, Sunday December 1st of 2013 Brandon and his family went out to a tree farm that they go to every year as a tradition and cut down a Christmas tree!
The cool thing about this tree farm that they do every year is there is a small house/shed that the owner built where kids can chose one Christmas present before they go that comes along with the Christmas tree you pick out!
Isn't it the most cutest thing ever?
They also have jewelry for adults, DVDs, and other random items in there!
This year, I did not cut down any trees. It was pouring here and there so it the ground was disgusting! It was freezing out as well but I came prepared!!! Rain boots, gotta love them!
Anywho, it was such a great time wandering around and spending time with his family, watching them pick their Christmas tree. This is the cute little tree that Brodi decided to get to have. So tiny!
Tammy, Brandon's mom, her friend Lindsey and her son Brodi came along with us this year as well to pick out their own Christmas tree.
Here down below is Lindsey and her son Brodi. I believe he is 3 years old. Such a cutie pie right?
I wanted to take pictures and we all know Brandon loves doing that right?
Usually Brandon is the one who cuts down the tree. My handy man :) or his dad but mostly Brandon now. This is the tree that his family decided to chose this year! It has horns on the top of the tree, but I don't think you can really see it.

Down below is Brandon's mom, Tammy. Proud of her Christmas tree this year! The horns add personality to the tree :) If you can see a little beside Tammy is Donald, Brandon's older brother.
We did this early in the morning so we had to have lunch!
Dairy Queen was on the way back home so guess where we stopped to eat lunch?
YES! We stopped at Dairy Queen on the way back to dropping Lindsey's Christmas tree at her house and had lunch!
OMG you guys need to have their food and try it out if you haven't already! Their burgers in my opinion are one the best burgers I've had! Their fries are delicious as well! Not too crispy, not too flimsy, cooked just right and just the perfect golden yellow :)
I got the number #8 combo with the Premium Strawberry Banana Fruit Smoothie instead of the soda that comes with the meal.
I meant to get the Mixed Berry flavor but oh well!
It was one delicious lunch!!!
Anywho, I hope you guys had a good Thanksgiving and holiday! Let me know when or if you already got your tree!
